Radlett – boutique-style dressing room

The Brief
Design studio Simpson & Voyle commissioned Neatsmith for two new-build family homes on Aldenham Avenue in Radlett. For the principal dressing room they wanted something soft and tactile — a tailored, boutique-feeling room that would hold its own as the centrepiece of the house.
The Neatsmith Designer’s Solution
Our Hampstead designer specified Fabric Castille doors in Dark Dove Grey matt lacquer around five sides of the room — three with upholstered fabric panels, two with bronze mirror to bounce light back across the floor.
The sixth side is a bespoke dressing table. Burnished Brass Scroll handles and a Linen interior complete the scheme.
At the centre, an island with a glass display top, fabric drawer fronts matching the doors and an integrated upholstered seat.

The Final Result: Beautiful boutique dressing room
The room reads as a private boutique. The fabric panels let the designer carry one look right through the space, and the two mirrored sides spread daylight across the floor.
At the centre, the island is a beautiful finish to the room — a glass top over the pieces worth showing, deep drawers below, and a seat to sit and take your time. Soft, tactile and beautifully made.
