Neatsmith design and manufacture beautiful bespoke wardrobes, home offices and living rooms. Philipp Nagel, Director of Neatsmith, is pleased to share his predictions for the key trends to look out for in 2025, from hotel-inspired bedrooms to Shaker wardrobe design.
Hotel-inspired design
Many Neatsmith clients seek hotel-inspired interiors, and our Reflex glass door wardrobes are ideal for achieving this. The Reflex wardrobes become transparent when backlit by internal LED lighting but remain reflective and semi opaque when the inside of the wardrobe is unlit, creating a luxurious, hotel-inspired space. This is amplified further when paired with dark brass inlays for an opulent, moody aesthetic. We can also enhance the wardrobe’s appeal with simple, yet impactful details that are inexpensive but truly elevate the wardrobe, such as tinted mirrored back panels, which create a sense of space and depth.
Shaker
Shaker Wardrobes have been incredibly popular the last few years. Defined by clean lines, simple detailing and classic style, consumers are drawn to the elegant aesthetic and timeless appeal of the Shaker style. Offering the perfect blend of form and function, Shaker wardrobes lend themselves particularly well to pared-back interiors or more traditional homes, and thanks to its simple design, are versatile enough to suit a more contemporary bedroom. The Shaker style is also synonymous with quality and craftsmanship, both of which are qualities that underpin the Neatsmith brand. The excellence, attention to detail and use of natural wood is what truly elevates the Shaker design. For a personal touch, Neatsmith Shaker wardrobes can be personalised in any colour, and elevated further with mirrored panel inserts in Bronze, Grey, Silver or Antique colours.
Embracing darker hues
Darker colours are some of our most popular for bedrooms as they capture the atmosphere of Autumn and Winter whilst still feeling perfectly suited to Spring and Summer, adapting to create a comforting, year-round ambiance. In the latter part of 2024, we noticed increased demand for rich burgundy hues, a trend we anticipate continuing into 2025 as homeowners look to explore similarly deep shades of navy blue and green. For those wanting to embrace these colours in the bedroom, we recommend biophilic colours inspired by nature to provide a vibrant and versatile backdrop. The growing desire to make the home feel like a sanctuary – where wellbeing and tranquility take centre stage – has driven the rise in popularity of darker colours, which stimulate a sense of warmth, cosiness and refined elegance to any space.
Biophilic design
Taking inspiration from nature has always been a part of design processes, but we expect biophilic design to really grow in popularity next year. Embracing biophilic elements in the home is a great way to create spaces that promote wellbeing, balance and connection to the natural world; a trend that continues to grow. In 2025 we anticipate consumers further embracing natural elements like wood and organic textiles, as well as a palette rich in earthy greens, blues and warm neutrals to create soothing, grounding spaces. This trend will appear throughout the home to create restful bedrooms and living rooms, as well as home offices designed to enhance productivity and focus.
